Close to retail from day one

ULD United Logistics & Distribution was founded in Hamburg in 2008. From the very beginning, one question has guided us: how do many individual steps become a robust process chain that works just as well in the warehouse as it does in online retail? Our business has grown continuously, from route plans and goods receipts, not from concept papers. This perspective still shapes every operational decision today and ensures developments that are proven in practice.

From discount logistics to e-commerce

Our roots lie in the retail environment with promotional goods, high volumes, and very tight time windows. There, every minute counts, every pallet, every correctly prepared ramp. Teams must work precisely under pressure, and replenishment and shipping logistics must be managed cleanly.

This school has taught us to structure retail logistics clearly and to plan processes so that they remain stable even under peak loads. On this basis, we specialized in discount logistics and gradually expanded our capabilities, always along concrete requirements from real projects. In this way, a distinctive understanding of logistics has grown that tests theory but prioritizes everyday reality.

Fulfillment as an independent development step

In addition to our strong foundation in retail and discount logistics, we have established fulfillment as an independent service area in recent years.

When we talk about fulfillment today, we mean an end-to-end process chain from goods receipt through warehouse logistics and order processing to returns logistics. In the interaction between office and warehouse, we listen closely, test new approaches in live operations, and refine them until they are robust.

Instead of complex showcase solutions, we rely on clear structures, transparent KPIs, and systems that integrate into existing supply chain architectures. This keeps projects scalable and economical without sacrificing transparency or controllability. Together we identify bottlenecks, reduce throughput times, and ensure a reliable customer experience across all channels.

To make this quality tangible in day-to-day operations, fulfillment at ULD is set up as an independent organizational unit. The team works closely with the warehouse, IT, and customer service and ensures that orders run smoothly – from the first data record to the packed parcel.

Project logistics and special solutions

One area that has consistently evolved from our operational strength is project logistics. Tasks that are considered special cases elsewhere are part of ULD’s daily service promise.

Whether incorrectly packed goods, re-labelling, short-notice rework projects, display assembly, special shipping specifications, or complex distributions to defined recipients – we take on requirements that go beyond standard processes.

Our strength lies in implementing such projects in a structured and reliable way: we analyze the requirements, define clear workflows, and ensure precise operational execution.
